Iraq – Armed factions to spread in the Green Zone in Baghdad

Yesterday, Wednesday, Baghdad has witnessed a state of panic and fear following the spread of the armed factions of the Popular Mobilization Forces in various areas, as the Green Zone was sealed off and invaded, against a backdrop of the arrest of “Qasim Musleh” the leader of the Anbar Operations of the Popular Mobilization, by the Joint Operations Command. Experts in Iraqi political matters considered the presence of “Popular Mobilization” in the Green Zone, as a threat to Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi and pressure on him to release “Musleh”. The arrest of the latter was apprehended in accordance with judicial orders, charging him of committing terrorist acts, including targeting the American “Ain Al-Assad” base in the Anbar governorate.
