Sri Lanka- Extra Judicial Killings of detainees concerns the Sri Lankans

The arbitrary killing of several detainees while in Sri Lankan Police custody, raised the concern and resentment of many human rights defenders, the media, and The Committee for Protecting Rights of Prisoners (CPRP), which pointed out the killing of many detainees while they were arbitrarily arrested over the past year before their sentence. The situation was similar before 2015 where abductions and killings have been taking place unabatedly. Many fear that anyone could be subjected to harassment if they are found to be black-listed by the government or the police or people in authority.
