Iraq – Shops to close due to dollar appreciation

The increase in the dollar exchange rate against the Iraqi dinar contributed to a crisis that negatively affects those with limited income, the markets witnessed a significant rise in the prices of basic foodstuffs, like oil, while the shop owners asked the government to intervene to change the approach of dealing with the dollar exchange rate in exchange for the dinar, emphasizing that they are on the verge with bankruptcy, and will enter the ranks of unemployment, due to their failure to afford the rent for their shops.
