Yemen: Residents of Hadhramaut Celebrate Completing the Quran recitation In Ramadan Each Year
Since time immemorial, citizens of Hadhramaut city have deemed this holy month a milestone to finish reciting the entire Quran. Completing the Quran recitation is more like a celebration or a religious event in Ramadan holy month. In different mosques around Yemen, completing the recitation is marked by high attendance and celebrated by different folk games and activities, along with a feast. Amjad Bajiri indicated that completing the Quran recitation is a habit that has passed from fathers to sons, adding that such an event is an opportunity for people to meet and to spread joy among kids
