Cambodia- The lockdown leaves the streets of Siem Reap empty

96

The streets of Siem Reap province appeared empty following the lockdown imposed by the government on most of its areas since April 15, 2021, as well as the closure of two-thirds of the district crossings. Residents were asked to stay home and go out shopping twice a week only, while a curfew was imposed from 8 pm to 5 am. Citizens in Siem Reap expressed their satisfaction with the measures taken by the government to prevent the spike of Covid and wished not to extend the closure, which will end on April 29, due to the absence of new cases.
