Yemen – 100 people from the Yemeni army and the Houthis are killed in violent battles in Marib
Around 100 fighters of the Yemeni government forces and the Houthi militia were killed near the city of Ma’rib. The military sources stated that battles that took place on Wednesday and Thursday, between the two sides on different fronts in Marib, resulted in the killing of 36 Yemeni army fighters, and 60 fighters from the Houthi militia. These battles are the fiercest since the start of Ramadan, where the Houthis pushed massive reinforcements to reach the oil city of Marib yet in vain. The city includes the headquarters of the Ministry of Defense and the leadership of the Yemeni army, as well as the fields and the Safir refinery and the largest gas-fired power plant in Yemen.
