Iraq: ISIS’s Remnants of War Impede Adnaniyah Complex Residents’ Return to their Region
Adnaniyah Complex residents in Sinjar complain about the mines and the unexploded ordnances in the region that were planted by ISIS when it took over the region in August 2014. After 4 years of liberating the region, families still fear going back, given the dispersed mines and unexploded ordnances. Accordingly, families were forced into living in camps far away from the hazardous region
