Somalia – Diplomatic crisis between Somalia and Kenya due to maritime boundaries

Somali streets have been recently occupied with the diplomatic crisis between Somalia and Kenya, regarding the maritime boundaries between the two countries that of which the Somali government has turned to the International Court of Justice, the reasons for the crisis, according to political analyst, Ahmad Abdulhadi, is the lack of delimitation of the maritime boundaries between the two countries by colonialism which led the Somali government to open this file at the International Court of Justice, Kenya reacted by mistreating Somali diplomats, which caused a meeting planned by global organizations in Nairobi to fail, because members of the Somali Parliament and government were denied from entering the city, he also pointed out that Somalia can ban imports from Kenya, using this as pressure method to achieve reconciliation.
