Jordan: King Abdullah II Swears in a New Prime Minister and a Cabinet

Amman-Jordan  12.10.2020 His Majesty King Abdullah II on Monday swore in a new prime minister and a Cabinet in Husseinieh Palace. The king appointed Bisher al-Khasawneh as the new prime minister, tasking him with forming the new Council of Ministers that includes 32 members. This came after the resignation of former Prime Minister, Omar al-Razzaz. In an unprecedented move, and in light of Coronavirus outbreak, The Minister of State Mahmoud Kharabsheh will swear in, once he ends the quarantine, as he tested positive for COVID-19. Minister of State for Governmental Follow-up and Coordination Affairs Nawaf al-Tal will also swear in after finishing the quarantine procedures of newcomers.
