Yemen – Houthi naval mine explosion off Midi coast in Hajjah province

Hajjah province – Yemen 4/6/2018

The Fifth Military Region’s naval formation forces, in collaboration with experts from the Arab Coalition Forces, managed to locate a large number of Houthi naval mines planted in Midi coast in northwest of Hajjah province, and exploded it at sea. The mines were planted for more than a year proved by the appearance of rust from the impact of salinity of water, but it is still explosive if hit by any solid body. A military source pointed out that the Houthis are still engaged in the cultivation of “death mines” in the sea and land.
