Iraq – A kidnapped Christian returns to her family and hopes to live a normal life

“Rita” is a Christian girl still living in the memories of the four years of psychological and physical torture by ISIS organization that kidnapped her from her town, “Bakhdida” in the district of Hamdania in the Nineveh Plain in 2014. Rita recounted the story of her sale in the markets until she reached the city of Raqqa in northern Syria prior to her liberation by the Syria’s democratic forces. Shlomo’s documentation helped save Rita and return her to her parents and despite her suffering with the organization, she has a strong will to live a normal life amid demands for material compensation to enable her to start living a new life.
