Libya – Concerns over delayed salaries and rising prices as Ramadan approaches

Lack of liquidity is invading the economic situation in the Libyan street, which suffers from concerns over the delayed delivery of salaries on the one hand and the rising prices on the other hand as Ramadan approaches. Economic experts attributed the cause of the crisis to the delay in adopting the budget by the House of Representatives and determining the functional duplication of some workers. Citizens in the city of Benghazi called on officials to pay attention to their situation and facilitate the delivery of salaries and deliver them to public banks at scheduled times, especially that the next holy month needs additional expenses by Libyans.
