Libya – Libyans assert Saif al-Islam Al-Gaddafi’s right to run for presidency

After Saif al-Islam son of the late President Muammar Gaddafi declared running in the Libyan presidential elections expected later this year, a number of citizens in the city of Benghazi approved it considering that he’s a Libyan citizen and has the right to run and that it’s for the people to decide, pointing out that they do not fear the return of the former regime in the country due to the current political awareness people have, as they will not allow the return of the experience of the previous government. It is noteworthy that the official of the political program of Al-Gaddafi’s son announced a few days ago that Saif al-Islam will run for the presidential elections during a press conference he held in the Tunisian capital.
