Yemen – Assigning a new UN official to Yemen brought optimism about resolving the Yemeni crisis

Yemenis have expressed their optimism for peace and ending the war in the country by appointing the new UN envoy to Yemen, Martin Griffith, successor to Ismail Ould Cheikh, where analysts and citizens believe that Griffith will be better than his predecessors and that he is highly experienced in bringing peace, especially as the European countries are interested in resolving the Yemeni crisis. It is noteworthy that Yemen is witnessing a fierce war between the Houthis and the Yemeni government forces backed by the Arab coalition forces for more than three years.
