Iraq – Lifting the ban on airports in Kurdistan brings popular optimism and aids back

Political observers and activists expressed their hope that the decision to lift the ban on foreign flights to the airports of the Kurdistan region is an important step towards closer rapprochement between Erbil and Baghdad and resolving the problems and other differences between them, while the activists in the field of relief and assistance pointed out to the role of opening airports in the region in increasing external support and delivering international humanitarian assistance to displaced persons.
