Iraq – Director of Erbil airport: The decision to extend the flights ban to and from the airports of the Kurdistan region is political

The Director of Erbil International Airport, Talar Faiq, described the decision of the Federal Government to extend the ban on foreign flights to and from the airports of the Territory for another three months as a political decision and pointed out that the decision was contrary to expectations, as there remained no outstanding points of contention for discussion between the Government of the Territory and the Federal Government. This statement came during a press conference held Tuesday in the city of Erbil.
