Violent confrontations are taking place between the Yemeni army forces and the Houthis in scattered field fronts in Taiz, as the Yemeni forces have recently repulsed an offensive by the Houthis in the vicinity of the air defense site north-west of the city of Taiz. Several fronts in the province have been burning since the Yemeni army announced the launch of a military operation to control the city of Taiz and lift the siege.
