Palestine – Krähenbühl: UNRWA schools and services will remain open.

The Commissioner General for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), Pierre Krähenbühl, stressed that the decision of the United States to reduce aid was shocking and creating an unprecedented crisis. He pointed out that UNRWA’s mandate is protected from the United Nations General Assembly and not for sale and the UNRWA will not give up and will continue its work until a just and comprehensive solution is found for the Palestinian refugees. He also announced the launch of an UNRWA donation campaign entitled “Dignity is priceless” and called on all countries to contribute to it, this came during a press conference held at an UNRWA school in the Gaza Strip.
