Yemen – “Diphtheria” disease is killing the people of Hodeidah in western Yemen (Exclusive Scenes)

Diphtheria is an acute and highly contagious bacterial disease causing inflammation of the respiratory system which hinders breathing and swallowing that could lead to death. The cases of death from diphtheria in Hodeidah governorate in western Yemen reached 9 out of 37 cases and the disease is still activating in the province. Doctors at Al-Thawra Hospital in Hodeidah pointed out that the situation is bad due to the complication of some cases to heart and kidney failure.
