Iraq – Yousuf Mohammed resigns from the presidency of the Parliament of Kurdistan

The President of the Parliament of Kurdistan Yousef Mohammed on Tuesday formally resigned from his post, after the Kurdish change movement withdrew from the Kurdistan Regional Government last week. The leadership of the Change Movement approved his resignation. This came during a press conference held in Sulaymaniyah. Observers pointed out that the Change Movement’s withdrawal from the Government and the Presidency of the parliament will increase political strife in the region.
