The Immaculate Church is located in the town of Bakhdida in Eastern Mosul, the largest area with Christian Majority and is one of the oldest and largest churches in the Nineveh Plain and the region. The church was damaged and burned by ISIS organization during their control of the area and still shows glimpses of the destruction even after normal life returned to the recently liberated town
