Tunisia: Controversy regarding the Finance Act 2018

In light of the amendments in many parts and chapters of the Finance Act of 2018 in Tunisia due to the presence of political balances within the updated parliamentary committee to discuss the new budget law, the views varied as a group believed that a dose of pain will contribute to recovery from the economic crisis in Tunisia for several years, and another group opposed seeing it as a blow to international dictates in general and from the IMF in particular to take care of their interests in Tunisia, which will lead to a popular escalation and protests as the law will weigh heavily on the citizens
