The city of Sousse is known as the “Jewel of the Coast”, a landmark in Tunisia and the center of the eastern coastal region. The city still preserves its original character. It has important archeological sites dating back to the 2nd and 3rd centuries AH, most notably the port of Sousse. The city has a range of distinctive geographical features, such as the green plains stretching over most of its territory
