Iraq – Iraqi forces are preparing to retake Tal Afar from ISIS

Iraqi forces are conducting military preparations to take control of the city of Tal Afar near the Iraqi-Syrian border. It is 70 kilometers from the city of Mosul and has been under the control of ISIS for nearly three years. The federal police announced the start of detection and reinforcement of logistical support and reconnaissance operations in preparation for the battle to restore the city from ISIS.
