Shotlist:

– Soundbite (Diaa Rashwan – President of the Arab Media Award):

“The Arab Media Forum has been held for 20 years, and the Arab Media Award (previously Arab Journalism Award) for 21 years. The Arab Journalism Award changed name to Arab Media Award last year as a result of the development in the media sector. Print journalism is no longer the only form prevalent, and therefore His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Rashid bin Maktoum ordered the change to the form of the award, to which the board of directors responded and conducted studies. We now have three awards, television media, digital media and print media.”

– Soundbite (Maitha Buhumaid – Director of Dubai Press Club):

“The media sector celebrates great achievements reached on different platforms. The Arab Media Award evolved from the Arab Journalism Award to include larger categories, out of faith in the pivotal role media plays, as means of bringing together nations, or breaking up international relations.”
