Iraq- Female circumcision in Kurdistan region

Kurdistan region witnessed a decline in female genital mutilation, known as Female circumcision which was confirmed by the authorities concerned with women’s issues and women rights activists in the Region, this followed statistics and field surveys conducted by the Inter-Governmental efforts with international organizations and UNICEF, which confirmed that the circumcision rate has dropped by almost 18%.
