Iraq: Thousands take part in a silent demonstration in central Baghdad

Thousands took part in a massive demonstration in central Baghdad on Friday at the invitation of cleric Moqtada al-Sadr, calling it the “silent protest” calling on the security forces to protect the protesters. The protest was launched today amid tight security measures and patrols in most of the main roads of the city of Baghdad.
