Ekrem Karagudekoglu, a Turkish shopkeeper and electrician, living in Istanbul, entered the Guinness World Records after collecting 2,779 phones from 150 different brands, which is the largest collection of cellophane.
Ekram displays his Guinness certificate along with the phones in his home. He says that the habit of collecting phones, which began as a hobby, continued after he discovered in 2010 that the number of phones he has increased, so he started buying more phones from all over the world.
Karagudekoglu adds that his collection includes phones dating back to 1984, in addition to smartphones, mentioning that running a cell phone store helped him break the record.
Ekram is looking forward to turning his collection into a museum.
