The Lebanese Minister of Interior, Bassam Mawlawi, on Wednesday said authorities thwarted attempts of a militant network aiming to carry out three attacks in civil communities. The network recruited Palestinian nationals’ young men in Lebanon to carry out suicide attacks with explosive belts. The would-be attacks included the use of rocket-propelled grenades that could lead to many causalities.
