Iraq – Workshop to address poverty challenges in light of the lack of funding

The Iraqi Ministry of Planning organized the third workshop to prepare a special strategy to alleviate poverty in Iraq for the years 2017-2021 in partnership with the World Bank and UNDP United Nations
The workshop discussed several strategic items, most notably the need to provide training programs for professionals from poor class and secure them with job opportunities to be a source of livelihood for them, as well as enabling the poor families to enroll their children in educational institutions, while the participants expressed their fears of not finding the necessary funding to achieve the objectives of the strategy.
