A memorandum of understanding between the Iraq National Data Exchange Center and the Aqaba Digital City has been signed at The Iraqi-Jordanian Information and Communication Technology Forum, held in Baghdad, in the presence of the Jordanian Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship Ahmed Hanandeh and Iraqi Minister of Communications Arkan Al-Shaibani in addition to companies from the public and private sectors in both countries.

This forum comes within the first ITEX exhibition on the Baghdad International Fair land, with the participation of 10 Jordanian companies and 49 Iraqi, Arab and foreign companies.

“We came from Jordan representing private companies in the telecommunications and cyber security sector. The Jordanian government represented by the Ministry of Digital Economy and Minister Ahmed Hanandeh is significantly interested in this field. Many consultations and meetings were held with the Iraqi government, in more than one field, including the Ministry of Communications and the Information Center of Iraqi. This great interest from the Jordanian side received great attention from the Iraqi side. In all the meetings, Iraq  showed great readiness for all the existing partnerships develop business and infrastructure for the Internet, and the big matters in cyber security.”

“During the past three days, we attended intense meetings between Jordanian and Iraqi companies so that we can cooperate more and transfer information and experiences between the two countries. Several meetings between Iraqi companies and Jordanian companies were held so that we can work with each other and develop our countries. It was fretful and great agreements were achieved between Iraqi and Jordanian companies.”
