Syria – Corn Dryers in Raqqa Receive About 7,000 Tons after Restoration

Yellow corn dryers in Raqqa have resumed receiving large quantities of crops after being restored and repaired, with most farmers heading to grow yellow corn depending on the water of the Euphrates River, in addition to the damage to wheat and barley crops due to the lack of rain and water in the area. According to the supervisors, the corn dryers, received about 7000 tons of corn, as the areas planted with corn in Raqqa reached to approximately 65% of the total agricultural land, while the Autonomous Administration set the price of one kilo at 1,100 Syrian pounds.
