Making of pomegranate molasses in Kurdistan region is considered a national heritage for the Kurds of Iraq, where the border villages between Iraq and Iran are famous for making pomegranate molasses using the primitive and ancient methods after being cropped, by deseeding the fruit and then boiling it after adding some water until the bulk is evaporated and it becomes concentrated.
