Syria – Volunteer campaign to sanitize schools in Amuda to curb Covid
In light of the curfew imposed by the authorities to curb the spread of Covid, a group of young people on behalf of the Fajr Organization, which consists of youth from Amuda city, in Al-Hasakah Governorate, launched a voluntary campaign to sanitize schools, mosques, public facilities, and government centers. The campaign included mosques and churches in the city as an initial step and all the town’s schools, before the end of the curfew and the students’ return to their schools. According to the volunteers, the large spread of the virus, as well as the high number of infections and deaths in the region, pushed them to carry out this campaign, in Amuda and its villages and countryside.
