Yemen – Taiz to go on strike following the collapse of the local currency
Taiz city, southwest of Yemen, experienced a shop strike against the collapse of the national currency and the deterioration of living circumstances, this shutdown comes due to the fall of the Yemeni riyal, which surpassed 100 riyals to the dollar, causing a significant rise in food prices. The merchants stated that if the legitimate government does not respond in developing economic solutions, they will escalate, the strike will be renewed, and civil disobedience will be declared.
