Tunisia – The repercussions of the Tunisian president’s recent decisions on the economic condition
After more than 10 days on the extraordinary actions that Tunisian President Kais Saied has taken, which experts considered a political and economic earthquake, economists voiced their concern about the repercussions of the measures on the country’s deteriorating economic condition, especially since the country is forced to pay its loan installments, due to a shortage of funds; which, according to economists, entails Tunisia’s entry into the Paris Club and the rescheduling of debts, while accepting potentially unjust conditions.
