Demonstrations in Baghdad demanding withdrawal of Turkish troops from Iraq.

Thousands or Iraqis demonstrated today at Altahrir downtown of the Iraqi capital demanding the withdrawal of Turkish troops from Northern Iraq.

In the light of the crisis between Baghdad and Ankara regarding the entrance of Turkish forces to Northern Iraq, thousands of Iraqis demonstrated under strict security cutting all the roads leading to tahrir area and surrounding the region with security officials.

The demonstrators carried banners expressing their anger and dissatisfaction with the inviolability and sovereignty of the country, saying (our sovereignty, our dignity) and (no foreign presence on our territory).

Iraq has filed a formal complaint against Turkey to the UN Security Council, claiming violation of the provisions and principles of the UN Charter, on the entry of Turkish troops in northern Iraq in the 4th of this month, and pinned down in Bashiqa region in Nineveh province.
