The first economic forum of the Securities Commission was launched in Baghdad, with the attendance of brokerage companies and the Investors Association, following decisions taken to stimulate securities trading and the entry of suspended local and foreign investment portfolios. The Chairman of the Securities Commission, Faisal Al-Haymes, stated that obstacles in this regard are to be overcome to diversify sources of funding and expand the speculation circuit in the volume of shares and raise the indicators of contributed funds. The participants received approvals to hold evening trading sessions which give a greater opportunity for investors to trade securities by buying and selling shares for long hours compared to the previous time.
