Thailand – Bangkok – Citizens are pleased with the development of Ong Ang Canal in Bangkok

79

Now that some restrictions to curb the spread of Covid-19 have been lifted in Bangkok, many places have returned to life. One such place is the art district alongside the Ong Ang Canal, which was opened again for kayaking and paddleboarding. Citizens expressed their pleasure as this canal, a few years ago, was filled with dirty and murky water whereas now the canal has clear waters and a walk along it would feel relaxing because of the surrounding greenery. The work included dredging the canal, cleaning the water, paving the canal banks with concrete, landscaping the waterfronts, and renovating the historical bridges. This canal now has become an attraction in the capital with modern lights installed and beautiful green plants along the street.
