Iraq – Deployment of Iraqi security forces to track the implementation of the curfew
On its third day until Monday morning, to restrict the outbreak of covid, police and army forces deployed in Baghdad and the rest of the governorates, except Kurdistan, to track the progress of the curfew that started at eight o’clock on Thursday evening until five o’clock on Monday. Meanwhile, the Director of Information of Baghdad Operations Command, Brigadier General Hazem Al-Azzawi, stated that the Operations Command controls the enforcement of the lockdown measures, suggesting that the lockdown was applied to a large degree. In the same vein, the Ministry of Health and Environment indicated the possibility of closing the borders if the cases of the infections broke out.
