Iraq- Valuable Antiques are Sold in Copper shops
Nawzad Hussain, an owner of a copper antiques’ shop, narrates the anecdotes of the pieces he has collected. He owns a unique collection of candlesticks, pots, and jugs that came from Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, Turkey, and Syria. Nawzad pointed out that people from all over Iraq come to his store to acquire these pieces, not to mention that tourists also are valued customers. However, Nawzad shop isn’t like before, given the disastrous economic reality in Kurdistan region after salaries were either cut or delayed, minimizing the purchasing power in the country
