Syria- Families of Deir ez-Zor city Express their Dismay and Refusal of a Contract that Allows Iran to Invest in Many Regions for 100 Years

Families of Deir ez-Zor city expressed their dismay and refusal of the Syrian regime’s decision to grant Iran free rein to invest in many parks situated in Deir ez-Zor governorate. This was part of the agreed-upon expansion projects, including this contract that was signed under the patronage of the mufti of Deir ez-Zor, Abdul Qader al-Rawi, and top figures of The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. Accordingly, militias started taking over many parks. Families of Deir ez-Zor illustrated that those militias are arranging trips that target school students in an aim to tout for Shi’ism.   Activists clarified that the contract allows Iranian militias to invest in Saker Island and other parks for 100 years, paving the way for expanding Iranian’ grip in east Syria
