Syria – The loss of IDs holds up Syrian families from leaving Al-Hawl camp
Al-Hawl/ Hasakah- Syria 23/11/2020
Some Syrian families from Raqqa who live in Al-Hawl camp, in Hasakah, face difficulties in registering for leaving the camp due to their IDs loss. They say that they have lost their IDs during the war and shelling in their cities. The administration of the camp opened the registration for the second batch of families who want to exit the camp as the Syrian Democratic Council has launched an Initiative to release all the Syrians from the camp to their cities in north and east Syria. The procedure requires IDs of the family which they had already given to the administration of the camp when they reached. The camp hosts 63 thousand displaced Syrians and Iraqi refugees, including families from ISIS.
