Syria- The Kurdish Democratic Autonomous Administration Hands Over 30 Children- of ISIS-linked Parents to Russia

Foreign Affairs Department of the Kurdish Democratic Autonomous Administration handed over 35 Russian children, whose parents were ISIS fighters, to a Russian delegation headed by the Children’s Rights Commissioner for the President of the Russian Federation, Anna Kuznetsova. Those children had been residing in the al-Hawl displaced persons’ camp in Syria’s Hasaka Governorate. A repatriating memorandum was signed with the presence of the Co-chair of the Kurdish administration’s Foreign Relations Commission, Abdulkarim Omar along with deputies and other administrative members. Anna Kuznetsova indicated that this is the first phase in the repatriation of Russian children from Syrian and Iraqi camps, whose families are linked to ISIS.
