Jordan: Parliamentary Elections are Held Under Tightened Precautionary Measures

Jordan’s 19th parliamentary elections were launched today as more than 350 thousand people have cast their ballots, 4 hours after opening the polling stations in 23 constituencies. The Independent Election Commission indicated that polling stations were ready for receiving citizens to vote at 7 AM, with a total of 4,640,643 citizens have already registered to vote while voters’ numbers reached 1674, including 1314 men and 360 women. Polling stations were ready on due course with the presence of the ballot- sorting commissions.
