Sudan- Floods Cause Serious Damages in Khartou

Kalakla Goba -Khartoum – Sudan 02/09/2020

Floods in Khartoum have hit hard, causing serious damages. At least 89 were killed and many houses were destroyed in addition to infrastructure damages.  Unprecedented rise of the Nile water levels and heavy rainfalls were behind the floods. Residents who were affected by the flood in Kalakla Goba recounted their struggle, indicating that they have never seen such rise in water levels. They called upon the government to deliver immediate aid.
