Iraq- Emmanuel Macron visits Iraq to Support Al-Kadhimi’s government

President of the Republic of Iraq Barham Salih received the President of France Emmanuel Macron, in his first visit to Iraq to support the government of the Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi. The aim of the visit is to inaugurate a UN initiative to support Iraq’s legitimacy and stability. Emmanuel Macron confirmed during a press conference with Barham Salih his unswerving support in combating ISIS and to fend any foreign interventions. He also underscored the importance of boosting collaborations between the two countries in the economic, security, and the cultural sectors.
