Syria – A women’s market in Amuda

Recently a women’s market was launched to sell vegetables, fruits and cleaning materials in the city of Amuda in Hasaka province, which is the first of its kind in the areas of northeastern Syria, and at 6 a.m. every day the market opens its doors to continue working 22 hours a day, the workers in the market said that they were initially severely criticized because of the prevailing societal mental image about the monopoly of men in the profession of selling without women, but the perception of society began to change little by little, which pushed them to save money at the end of each month to expand the market during the coming period.
