Tunis – Tunisians perform first Friday prayer after months of closure

Thousands of Tunisians performed Friday prayers at the Zaitouna Mosque in the antique city of the capital, more than two and a half months after it closed to cope with the outbreak of the Coronavirus. The worshipers adhered to the preventive measures called for by the Ministry of Health and Religious Affairs during prayer in mosques, including wearing masks, bringing their own prayer rugs and sterilizing hands, and the worshipers expressed their joy at opening mosques as a sign of the country’s defeat of the Corona epidemic.
