Southern countryside of Hasaka Province – Syria 23/05/2020
Citizens in the northern and eastern regions of Syria complain of the high cost of living, especially with Eid al-Fitr approaching, under the light of the crisis of Coronavirus, where the markets of the city of Qamishli in the province are witnessing a low demand for various goods and Eid supplies compared to previous holidays, the significant rise in the prices of materials due to the decline in the value of the Syrian pound in comparison to the U.S. dollar, which caused the high prices of different food and commercial items on citizens who are still dealing and receiving their salaries in Syrian pounds.
